Vandals raid nursery

From the Camborne Packet, first published Wednesday 12th Jul 2006.

The Flying Start nursery in Drump Road, Redruth, has been attacked by vandals.

When staff arrived on Monday, they found the six-foot wide gate broken and the garden vandalised.

Windows on the children's playhouse had been broken and all the carefully recycled plastic milk cartons scattered across the garden.

Police are investigating the incident, which is thought to have happened over the weekend, as all was well when the nursery shut on Friday.

Chantelle Baron, manager of Flying Start, said: "We have had problems before with vandals but we cleared up and the community were wonderful."

She was confident all would be well again soon.

"We will soon put smiles back on the children's faces and recycle the rubbish again!" she added.
